Guardian Property Management began in 2020 with the opportunity to manage four properties in Detroit Lakes. What started as a small side venture quickly grew as more property owners came to us looking for a better management experience.

Today, Guardian manages more than 90 units, but our mission remains the same. Jory founded Guardian Property Management in 2020 with a simple goal: provide property owners with the level of communication, transparency, and care they deserve. What began with managing four properties in Detroit Lakes has grown into a trusted property management company serving owners throughout the region.
Before launching Guardian, Jory worked in real estate operations, where he repeatedly saw owners struggle with poor communication, rising expenses, and prolonged vacancies. Those experiences shaped Guardian’s owner-first approach and commitment to proactive management.
As a real estate investor himself, Jory understands that every property represents years of hard work and long-term goals. His focus remains on protecting investments, maximizing performance, and giving owners the confidence that their properties are in good hands.
A Valley City native, Jory has called the Fargo area home for the past seven years. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, golfing, staying active through sports, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings—despite the occasional heartbreak.
